Supporting Human Capital Development Project intended to increase capacity and responsiveness of technical and vocational education and training in Meghalaya. As part of the program, several teachers were trained, who in-turn were appointed as Trainer/Facilitator during the Additional Training for Govt. Secondary & Higher Secondary Teachers.

One such trainer, Shri Aibantiplang Rynjah, Assistant Teacher in Mawkhar Christian Higher Secondary School, Shillong is shining example of the outcome of the program. During tumultuous Covid-19 phase, when students were not able to attend classes, Aibantiplang Rynjah stepped up and planned to launch a website where he can upload videos and lectures for students. Due to financial constraint, he launched a YouTube channel entitled “Minot Thop”, and continued imparting knowledge to students. Now, his channel has 1300 subscribers and 18230 views as on August 2021.

His effort was recognized at the National Level- Winners of State Level Science Exhibition and Participation in The Eastern India Science and Engineering Fair, Kolkata. Recognized and awarded for contribution to DIKSHA National Portal, presented by the Hon’ble Education Minister, Govt. of Meghalaya at DERT office, Shillong. Government of Meghalaya is proud of such teachers and endeavors to support more such teachers in near future.
