Byrinhat Oxygen Plant

In its endeavor to provide maximum support to people during this Covid 19 pandemic, the Govt of Meghalaya has set up the oxygen plant at Byrinhat in Ri-bhoi district. The plant was set up to support the state govt in meeting oxygen exigencies during the second wave of corona pandemic. The plant with its existing capacity to produce 2000 cubic meter of oxygen per day was able to provide adequate amount of oxygen during exigencies. At a time, when every state was facing oxygen crisis, the Byrinhat plant was fully functional and helped the govt. in dealing with second wave of pandemic. To understand the capacity and effectiveness of the plant, Mr. Conrad Sangma himself inspected the plant and expressed his satisfaction on state’s preparedness to fight against pandemic crisis
